Too Bloody for Me submitted by monkk on June 19, 2013, 11:59am I've heard that this is a great movie. I think I made it about 20 minutes in before there was too much blood for me. I do have a fairly low tolerance level, so it might be okay for others. Just be warned, there are severe injuries in this movie, including some to children.

Incredible submitted by crazypockets on June 19, 2013, 4:20pm This movie blew me away and completely took me by surprise. I can't believe it didn't get more recognition! I guess it's a pretty rough subject matter and not really the type of movie a lot of people would want to go see in the theater, but I feel like it's one of those hard to watch films that everyone should see. I remember when the tsunami happened, but I know that I never really got just how horrific and tragic it really was. There were so many elements surrounding it that I just don't think I really understood.

First, the acting was unbelievable. Not just Naomi Watts who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress or even Ewan McGregor who we would expect to be good. But the children. The children were absolutely stunning, and there were several moments where I actually got chills from their performances and from what was happening. It's incredible to think that these roles were based on real kids who did these things and lived through this experience. With all the sets, effects, production design, extras, etc., it's still mind-blowing to me that this movie wasn't better received.

This is one of those rare movies that makes you really think about the nature of life, the real importance and meaning of family, and the role we all play in the human community. You will see the best and the worst that humanity has to offer in this story. It's not easy to get through like KTC said, but that's kind of the point, I think. Anything less than what was shown would completely diminish the magnitude of what happened there.

good film submitted by manz on July 6, 2013, 1:58pm This was a pretty good film. It was entertaining and suspenseful. It follows a family of five as a tsunami strikes down heavily at the resort in Thailand. It's based on a true story, and as the story unfolds your heart and mind feel for the family and the many others who are so severely affected by the natural disaster that takes many lives.

The Impossible submitted by SBNB on July 2, 2014, 9:35pm This is a very good movie. Yes, it can be gruesome at times and it is incredibly heartbreaking, but I'm glad I watched it.
