In the year 2074, the mob sends problem people back in time, where a hired gun awaits to eliminate them. Joe is one such hired gun, good at what he does. But problems arise when the mob tries to 'close the loop,' and Joe comes face-to-face with his future self during a hit. When Joe's future self escapes after he hesitates to finish the assignment, Joe must chase himself down and finish the job.

Not at all what I was expecting (in a good way) submitted by klickitat on March 16, 2013, 9:44pm There's an (unexpected) element that was kept out of any promotional materials and the experience of watching this movie is better for it. (Thank you, creators and marketers.) I was impressed with the story and thought it had a good resolution but some of it felt a little hodgepodge, like the writer/director tried to cram too much cool stuff in. Then again, it *was* cool stuff so I can't complain. Just not always the tidiest movie, especially in the middle. Recommended.

But why why why with the Bruce Willis make-up for Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Freaky and more than a little distracting!

Thought provoking and entertaining submitted by cherylo on June 14, 2013, 10:41am A smart, stylish, and entertaining what-if time travel story. Like Inception, it leaves the viewer with more questions, including open-ended questions, than it really answers. Also like Inception, I think an entire philosophy course could be based on the issues it explores and raises.

intersting submitted by lilveela on June 25, 2013, 2:09pm It was an interesting sci-fi movie. I agree with another reviewer that it leaves you with a lot more questions than the answers. The ending was not at all what I expected but I still enjoyed it.

Worth watching submitted by wendylv on August 2, 2013, 5:46am This is a well-crafted movie with an intriguing plot, interesting characters, and an ending that makes it all worth it. I wish the time-travel construct would have held together better. In the DVD commentary, the director says they didn't really worry about explaining the details of their time-travel theory but it needs to be explained and I felt it was a major flaw of the movie.
