A little girl finds a wounded reindeer in the woods and believes it is Prancer. Her efforts to nurse it back to health so she can return it to Santa bring about wonderful changes in the lives of everyone- her father, their neighbor, a grouchy vet, a department store Santa and the people of the town.

Nice Christmas Family Movie Find submitted by KPNF on July 3, 2023, 6:34am We just watched this 1989 film for the first time and both parents and tween enjoyed it. It was quite emotional, and heartwarming. Us parents enjoyed seeing Sam Elliott, Abe Vigoda and Cloris Leachman. NOTE: there are some scenes where an animal is injured that are pretty intense for a sensitive kid or animal lovers. I probably wouldn’t show to children under 11, but check Common Sense Media for more details.
