Satisfying submitted by Meginator on June 26, 2023, 9:55pm This is a really solid album that lends a pop appeal to alt-rock, a combination with wide appeal that leads to memorable hooks but doesn’t allow for a lot of emotional conviction. In a lot of ways, these songs feel carefully crafted to achieve mass appeal; it’s an effective approach to be sure, and it allows for some nice thematic and musical variety without ever forcing the band to push beyond the boundaries of their comfort zone. The result is a consistently solid record with a few particularly memorable singles and a couple of solid supporting tracks; it’s nothing extraordinary, but it’s perfectly satisfying and worth listening to for anyone curious to hear the band’s work beyond the popular singles.
