A rambunctious group of five college friends steal away for a weekend of debauchery in an isolated country cabin, only to be attacked by horrific supernatural creatures in a night of endless terror and bloodshed. As the teens begin to exhibit standard horror movie behavior, a group of technicians in a control room are scrutinizing and sometimes even controlling every move the terrified kids make. Do they have any chance of escape?

Not As Expected submitted by crazypockets on June 16, 2013, 3:09pm This wasn't the usual horror movie I expected at all. Which I should've expected knowing it was a Joss Whedon production and he's always surprising me. It is very violent and gory, but it has his usual batch of humor which I really liked.

Actually decent submitted by KOH on August 3, 2017, 4:38pm I don't typically go for gory, hack 'em up style flicks, but the addition of the masterminds coldly puppeteering the whole experience made it more compelling.

Tolerable for those of us who hate horror submitted by amandasaurus on June 19, 2022, 12:50am I can’t do horror films even a little bit, but this had enough humor/stereotypical horror film behavior (which is the point), so I knew what to expect most of the time. It’s still pretty gory, though.
