Romola Garai's best role... submitted by Kikumatsu97 on June 24, 2015, 7:18pm 17-year-old Cassandra Mortmain, (played by Garai) is dedicated to her family and romantic self, refusing well-enough for the chance at true love. Enter Henry Cavill in a great role as Stephen, who is gorgeous and loves her, then Her father who has admitted deafeat for so many years his children are nearly starving, Rose her pretty and shallow sister who's role weighs much too heavy on h er as the one who should marry to save them all from financial crisis, and the the castle of course. The part of Tara Fitzgerald as Topaz the artist-type eccentric step-mother is not to be underplayed, Sinead Cusack in her role as the american mother to two boys, who's hearts will soon be stolen by these desolate girls is perfection as it collides with Bill Nighy's role as their shamed father. Stunning views and tons of humor. Such a clever adaptation of a great book.
