COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Of its era submitted by FordAlpha on August 12, 2019, 10:39pm When I was a teenager, I listened to a public radio station that played different classic radio shows every evening. They played the Jack Benny Show, the Lone Ranger, and more. I felt that listening to these shows somehow gave me insight into my grandparents. I was kind of a weird kid like that. Some of the bits in this Jack Benny compilation remain genuinely funny, and they're definitely interesting cultural artifacts. The racist and sexist tropes are pretty painful to hear, however, especially the role of Rochester. Phil Harris is my favorite cast member.
