Good submitted by AprilCDB on July 26, 2016, 1:57pm This book is good, I feel like a lot of the advice should be common sense, but I suppose for some it's not. As a busy parent, it's taking me more time to read the book than the month allowed for a check out and with so many requests on the book, I've had to rerequest the book and check it out several times, including from other libraries to try and finish reading the whole thing.

Essential read for anyone withave children/young adults submitted by Cherrytreelane on June 22, 2018, 2:46pm Lots of great advice and ideas to help everyone be happier and have better communication.

Excellent book submitted by TLW1998 on July 28, 2019, 7:40pm This is an excellent book and great resource for parents. It is quick and easy to read, and it has a lot of good tips.

Ugh submitted by autumnmist on August 15, 2019, 3:48am I just couldn't click with this book.

Helpful and Easy to Understand submitted by Maria Maguire on July 21, 2020, 6:58pm I was surprised about how easy it was to understand the suggestions in this book. It's broken down into different sections, and includes comics and exercises to better understand the tips. I also appreciated the extra examples from parents who had used these strategies, as they helped me see more circumstances where these tips are applicable. There's even a summary page for each chapter you can refer back to for a quick reminder!

Classic submitted by crp on July 28, 2020, 1:31pm I ended up buying this because I felt it was better read in the car while my husband was driving and vice versa. It takes practice and the book recommends doing the exercises weekly or monthly, which we found helpful. I tried some of the techniques in the first month of reading and they worked!

Informative and amazing submitted by czadams on August 28, 2022, 6:29pm AMAZING Amazing wisdom. It is so important to make sure kids feel heard! It is supposed to be about creating an equal power relationship, as much as possible and encouraging strong communication skills.

A Genuinely Helpful Guide submitted by jibkidder on June 20, 2023, 7:20pm I always buy this as a gift for new parents. This and it's sibling sequel have some clear, practical advice.
