Good...Kind Of. submitted by mrajraspn08 on June 17, 2014, 6:49pm The illustrations are rather amateurish and inconsistent. The storyline itself is good, though long. For the first half of the book, it is funny and endearing; as it goes on, however, it starts to get silly, and then kind of dumb. It would be a wonderful novel if Cervantes ended it about 100 pages sooner. Still, often classic books get a bad rap as being boring, and this is one that I fairly enjoyed.
A Fun Read

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The characters and situations (and the chapter titles accompanying them) were funny, sometimes downright hilarious. As a person who has also read too many books on chivalry, I was particularly fond of the title character.
My only problem... is this an actual translation of the book, or just a retelling of the story? Can I claim to have read the real thing? I can't tell!
