"Seven graduate students are recruited by a microbiology start-up and dispatched to a mysterious lab in Hawaii. There they are promised access to tools that will open a whole new scientific frontier. But once in the Oahu rain forest, the scientists are thrust into a hostile wilderness where they find themselves prey to a technology of radical and unbridled power. To survive, they must harness the inherent forces of nature itself"--Publisher's description.

A real Crichton novel submitted by andrea on July 16, 2017, 9:53pm I hesitated to read this book that was published with a co-author after Crichton's death. After reading all his other novels, I was afraid this one wouldn't feel authentic, or that it would be obvious that someone else finished it. I was pleasantly surprised. This feels just as much like a Crichton story as any of his others, with the same nail-biting suspense, high tech twists, and startling insights into aspects of life we might never think about until we pick up one of Crichton's books.
Micro submitted by KOH on August 30, 2017, 10:01pm I was surprised that I liked it, even with the co author!
