Better Than Expected submitted by tree64 on June 15, 2012, 2:04pm Although this movie does not have much action, it addresses the issue of racism in Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement. The movie was filmed surprisingly well, and before I watched it, I didn't not expect to get much from it. Instead, I further understood how big of a problem racism was, and how those who were the victims of the anger from racism felt. I would recommend that you watch this movie with your family, because it is very good.

The Help submitted by SBNB on June 27, 2012, 7:48pm I didn't have high expectations when I checked out this movie from the library. I had only picked it because it had been nominated for an Oscar. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very good movie that kept me entertained and interested from start to finish.

Great Movie submitted by jarroyo on June 28, 2012, 2:15pm I wasn't expecting much when I saw this movie, but I ended up loving it. There was an interesting plot with a good mix of drama with fun touches. I enjoyed the movie so much that I am now reading the book.

Great! submitted by alumeng.ajl on July 28, 2012, 9:29am This is a really good movie! The acting is phenomenal. It's funny and it addresses racism in the 1950's (?) really well.

The help submitted by crp on August 28, 2019, 10:19pm Unfortunately this movie didn’t do it for me despite the hype

Infuriating... submitted by Xris on June 24, 2020, 12:05pm ...how people were treating blacks back then, I couldn't wait for one of the main characters to get told off! Great that the deleted scenes reminded me who Skeeter's boyfriend was. I read the book a while ago, so I had forgotten some of it.
