It can get predictably predictable at times, but then every now and then there'll be a little surprise joke that'll catch you off guard and make you laugh out loud. It's light and cute, and Justin Timberlake is his trademark funny self. Overall, a fun little movie.

A customer-service working, tough-talking, defensive type with a vulnerable side. JT is also the same character as in...most everything he does. They rely on their personal charms, which are many, a ton. But the plot, film, anything else lacks any real bite.

Very Fun Rom-Com submitted by Meginator on July 28, 2017, 4:50pm I expected this movie to be fairly fun, and it is, but I was surprised by how good it actually is. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis have excellent chemistry and the plot, though far from original, has enough wrinkles to be interesting and to feel different than many of its peers. The writing is sharp, the chemistry is good, and this film offers everything that a satisfying rom-com should.

Friends submitted by jibkidder on August 15, 2022, 8:06am This standard rom com with few deviations from the prototype is potentially still worth a watch on account of the charisma of its two stars and the chemistry between them. I'd rather be watching Justin in "Southland Tales" or Kunis in "Black Swan" but if you've got some reason to pursue a mainstream rom com go for it.
