La Paloma! submitted by Meginator on June 19, 2019, 8:32pm This Spanish translation of the Mo Willems classic has the same addictive charm as the English version. The storyline isn't entirely clear from the illustrations alone, but the characters are so expressive that they do convey a lot of meaning on their own. Some of the bus-specific Spanish terms may be unfamiliar to non-native speakers, but much of the vocabulary is simple. This was a good book to introduce a young English-speaking reader who knew no Spanish to the language, as he was already familiar with the story.
