COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Amazing graphic novel submitted by pkooger on January 21, 2013, 2:55pm Howard Cruse has written a terrific story of a closeted white guy growing up and trying to figure out his life in the middle of a whole mess of bigotry. I think Cruse did a great job of portraying the competing influences that a man like Toland Polk would have been subjected to. I also really like that the main characters don't just have it all "figured out" in the end. If you're interested in character-driven stories and civil rights, you owe it to yourself to check this one out.

A wonderful read submitted by majean on August 17, 2018, 12:12pm I both enjoyed this story and learned a lot about my history.
