COMMUNITY REVIEWS

The Fighter submitted by Beth Manuel on June 27, 2011, 2:24pm I thought this film was fantastic. The acting was superb. Melissa Leo gave a believable turn as Alice, as did Christian Bale. And Mark Wahlberg, I can watch him all day. Amy Adams was great too.

prettty good submitted by codyson159 on July 8, 2011, 11:49pm i like this show a lot

Great Film submitted by Meginator on July 17, 2011, 9:40pm As you may be able to intuit from the caliber of the actors involved in this film, "The Fighter" is an excellent picture, meditative and inspirational without coming across as canned. Following the story of a family torn apart by crack cocaine and by their own circumstance, this movie explores the idea of redemption without resorting to old cliches. Its success is largely due, I believe, to the fact that the filmmakers stayed close to the original, true story throughout the filming process, but also because it is a great human story to which we can all relate and respond. Though the film's cast is made up of many well-known faces, their performances are transcendent and each quickly becomes his or her character until the credits roll. The fight scenes are simply astounding; I don't personally follow boxing very closely, but they seemed incredibly real to me and its obvious lead Mark Wahlberg did his homework in preparing for this role. This is a film that should appeal across audiences and which deserves the rich praise heaped upon it.

Well Done submitted by markwells on August 21, 2011, 7:57am I thounght the acting was really good especially Christian Bale's. All the characters were believable. This is one of Amy Adams' best performances and she's especially cute in this one. All in all this is probably the third best boxing movie I've seen, behind Rocky and Raging Bull.

great submitted by ftan on July 16, 2012, 4:09pm i thought this film was great, especially since it was based on a true story.
