beautiful! submitted by camelsamba on June 24, 2014, 8:40pm I've never read The Odyssey, so thought this would be a reasonable way to fix that bit of cultural illiteracy. I gather (from other reviews) this is a fairly accurate retelling of the plot. The artwork is magnificent. The gods are vaguely transparent when they appear. Color is used to help portray the mood. It is quite gory where the story is - the blood is particularly vivid against the backgrounds. But otherwise it is beautiful - especially the seascapes. I could stare at those water scenes for hours...
