Set in the 1970s
submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on June 14, 2014, 1:38pm
Detective Sam Tyler was hit by a car in 2006 and woke up in 1973. He now works in the local police department solving murders.
The show really demonstrates many of the huge changes, socially and technologically (not the mention the clothes and hair!) in the 40 years since then.
After learning a painful truth about his dad, Sam begins to feel strange visions and pain that suggest his body--in a coma in a 2006 hospital--is in danger. This could kill him in 1973 or it could be his change to return to the 21st century. Sam comes to believe that the suspect he is hunting in the 1970s now seeks revenge on Sam in 2006.
The Manchester accents are fun to hear, especially as in most British TV shows we only hear London accents.
