Still Brilliant After All These Years submitted by Meginator on July 31, 2011, 10:49pm Seriously, one thing HIMYM does quite well is keep up its high quality season after season, and season 5 certainly was one for brilliant guest star appearances. I loved J-Lo in "Of Course." Though the season got a bit schmaltzy in the last couple of episodes, I think this disc balances the trivial ("Say Cheese," "Zoo or False") and the serious, while giving us tantalizing clues about Ted's future and about the mysterious mother ("Home Wreckers"). And though the voiceover, again, wielded the Obvious Hammer, "The Wedding Bride" is a wonderful ode to the series's efforts to maintain continuity unlike any other show I've ever seen. For me, the end of season 5 represents five seasons going strong.
