Good, not great submitted by rimpopu on July 19, 2013, 1:53pm We love Llama Llama books so we got this one with high expectations. We were a bit disappointed that it is not as good as Llama Llama mad at mama, or Llama Llama red pajama, or Llama Llama wants to share. The story seems a bit forced as Llama Llama is counting down days for the holiday. It looks like the author deliberately avoids writing the word 'Christmas', and calls it holiday instead. As it does not take religious tone it should be ok with even atheists, that is, if you are willing to ignore the big Christmas tree. For most part, the holiday is mentioned as related to shopping, treats, decoration, and presents. The book starts with count down 'only 15 more shopping days'. Until the very end when Llama's mother gives him word of wisdom. Good read but not great.
