COMMUNITY REVIEWS

For those who think and feel! submitted by breaking_glass on March 19, 2011, 12:04pm Oh, this film was so fun to watch. This is Rush from beginning to end, and they have a long career with an amazing body of work. In my experience, there has never been enough out there for fans in the way of writings or documentary about the band. And when you've seen all the videos you can on You Tube, you're left disheartened. Contained in this film is footage you've never seen before, as well as intimate interviews with Geddy, Alex and Neil. Also included throughout the film are interviews with other artists such as Trent Reznor, Les Claypool and Gene Simmons discussing how Rush has been so influential in the music world, and individually with their own music. I'm only covering the tip of the iceberg here, but Rush fans - you will not be disappointed. I absolutely LOVED seeing those old recordings from the early 70s, when they played in church basements and wherever they could get gigs. Not to mention, the hair, the clothes - the ROBES.

Thematically, the film makes a point of saying, that although Rush is not for everyone, you cannot deny their influence and cult status. And you cannot deny that all three men are just amazing musicians. Not only that, they are very seemingly normal and good-hearted people, and they did things their own way. A rarity in the music business, and with unique style.

Comprehensive submitted by billickc on June 17, 2013, 9:57am A very in-depth and comprehensive look at the prolific Canadian band. Lots of old footage and interviews.
