COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Underrated Play! submitted by KatieD on August 19, 2021, 11:55am I had never really read any of Shakespeare's history plays because I thought they would be fairly dry and lacking the emotion and mirth of his comedies and tragedies. I was totally wrong, at least in this instance! I absolutely loved this play! It introduces the comedic character, Falstaff, who was so popular that he appears in other Shakespeare plays. Also, it has some excellent scenes and deals with themes of maturing and relationships brilliantly. If you're unsure about reading a history play, I would recommend starting with this one.
