John Skillpa, a quiet bank clerk living in tiny Peacock, Nebraska, prefers to live an invisible life. Then, in a moment, everything changes. A train caboose runs off its tracks and crashes into John's backyard and destroys more than the weathered planks of his wood fence. When neighbors descend on the scene, they discover John's other personality, Emma, for the first time and mistakenly believe her to be John's wife. John is launched into the spotlight and eventually it shatters his sanity.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

meh submitted by manz on December 10, 2010, 8:43am I thought I would like this film, but I didn't. It was rather boring and a bit disturbing, and I usually like indie films that are disturbing. Note: Ellen Page almost has a grown-up role in this movie, and I will say that Cillian Murphy does make a pretty woman when dressed up.

Tense in a good way submitted by ferielp on August 30, 2018, 4:42pm The character so dearly wants to remain unnoticed but the townsfolk become intrusive. You can feel his pain and tension and it isn't hard to empathize with him despite his oddities, since Murphy does a wonderful job inhabiting the role.
