nice middle grades tale submitted by camelsamba on June 22, 2015, 3:05pm The story is rather slow moving and parts seem unnecessary (eg so much time spent arguing about and building the cage), but they all tied together in the end. And while at a certain level it was kind of mundane, the kids really did show a lot of persistence and invest hard work to achieve their goal. It's the kind of summer experience everyone says kids are missing out on these days (free range, outdoors, kid-directed, etc).
