Much Better than You'd Expect! submitted by sdunav on June 16, 2014, 4:23pm Boring cover and title, fabulous, funny, well-written book about language and culture. Wonderful introduction to linguistics, along with weird trivia on how people see and divide the rainbow, time, and space. I loved it and will seek out other books by Deutscher.

While informative, I feel that the author is just confirming what the reader is likely to have already been thinking.
This book is enjoyable to read, though.
