COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Terrific comedy team! submitted by carterrn on October 1, 2010, 5:16pm Tina Fey and Steve Carell are hilarious in this movie. The unexpected celebrity cameos that occur in the film are a bonus including Ray Liotta and James Franco. The chain of events that the "boring couple from New Jersey" experience will surely keep you interested and laughing throughout the film. Definitely worth seeing on your own date night or with a bunch of friends.

awesome comedy submitted by jszchen on August 26, 2011, 9:50pm I thought this was a fantastic hilarious movie

Date Night submitted by emjane on July 14, 2012, 7:53pm Carell and Fey play the Fosters, a couple whose marriage has gotten boring and predictable. During a date night, they take another couple's reservation, claiming that they are the Tripplehorns. This leads to the two being chased by bad guys who don't believe the Fosters when the argue that they are not really the Tripplehorns. Dangerous hijinks and hilarity ensue, and the Foster's marriage is spiced up in the process.

One of my worries, when I go to see a funny movie, is that the only funny bits were in the trailer. That is not the case for Date Night -- I found myself laughing out loud many times. Though the "let's talk about our marriage" moments that occurred a few times throughout the movie got a bit long and boring, I understand they were necessary to showing the Foster's progression as a couple (though maybe they could have been shorter).

The scene where Carell and Fey try to pole dance is, in itself, worth watching the movie

Hilarious submitted by ima_rom on July 15, 2012, 5:20am A lot of funny parts.

terrific submitted by ftan on July 16, 2012, 9:11pm this movie is terrifically funny. however, when i was younger i did not enjoy as much as a few years later. a great duo, steve carell and tina fey play the roles of an unfortunate couple who are mistaken for james france and mila kunis. what follows is the most eventful and exhilarating night of their lives.

Better than expected submitted by klickitat on August 6, 2012, 8:06am Carrell and Fey have great chemistry and are a funny comedy team. The scenes with Wahlberg, Kunis, and Franco are hilarious. The actors add life and interest to the somewhat mediocre script.

More from these two! submitted by crazypockets on June 21, 2013, 2:43pm I hope Tina Fey and Steve Carell team up again because this movie was really cute and funny. I loved the other cast members, too. Great cameos. The whole scene in the strip club could've been cut down a bit (disturbing!) but even that had its funny side.

pretty funny submitted by airgood on June 15, 2015, 3:22pm I'm a huge fan of Tina Fey and Steve Carrell, and this movie had some funny moments in it! The plot is interesting with many great cameos along the way. I found it to be a bit long at some points, but overall it's a good movie.

Good submitted by Kanchan21 on July 26, 2018, 7:35pm its a funy movie and love Tina fey and Steve Carrell!

Good submitted by anacoluthon on August 21, 2018, 3:08am I never really expected Steve Carell and Tina Fey to make a movie together! It was pretty fun, but probably not something I'd rewatch a lot.

Hilarious submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 10:06am This is recommended for those looking for pure enjoyment for the sake of laughing. This is a homerun in the comedy department!
