breaking princess stereotypes submitted by adimarzo on July 4, 2012, 11:28am This well written and beautifully drawn book shows a young girl asking various questions about whether princesses act or dress like she does. It demonstrates that princesses can be active and athletic and get dirty and wear hiking boots.
Princesses Wear Hiking Boots submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 8, 2015, 8:09am My niece wanted to read this just as much as her Disney princess picture books, and that delighted me. It was a fun read, a book which helps expand young childrens' minds about princess tropes - and also urges adults to be more creative when interacting with kids as well! Kids can be called princesses if and when and however they want to be.
Nice princess book! submitted by KOH on August 27, 2017, 11:00pm It's great to see books that break out of the norm. Good lesson for little ones.
