good book, submitted by booklover101 on June 20, 2012, 7:28pm this book is really interesting, with mysteries and foreshadowing thrown in. i would recommend this book, and the one after, 13 curses. waiting for the last book in the trilogy to come out!!

Taunting her at night, the only time where Tanya is vulnerable and not able to protect herself. When the fairies come, they cause havoc and chaos, breaking chairs and nightlights. One day, her mother can’t take it anymore and sends Tanya off to her grandmother’s dirty and dusty mansion with the mad-driven Amos and his son and grandson. Tanya finds Red, someone who can also see fairies, called the second-sight hiding in the hidden passages in the mansion. Tanya also befriends Fabian, Amos’s grandson and they learn about Morwenna Bloom’s disappearance 50 years ago and Amos’s connection with that. In the fight to clear his name, they uncover startling information. Tanya realizes that she is not alone, for some of the closest people she knows has the second-sight. She learns not to quickly judge someone, they could be protecting her in a distant way, fearing her knowledge about it would cause more destruction. Join Tanya’s journey to save Morwenna Bloom’s life and clear Amos’s name.
