COMMUNITY REVIEWS

say what, sasquatch? submitted by manz on September 7, 2010, 1:11pm I like Bigfoot lore, and I like odd characters, so I was looking forward to this documentary about two amateur Bigfoot hunters who do research and go "bigfooting." What I did not expect was to dislike it so much and for it to give me a headache. How unfortunate. I won't give up on the sasquatch though. Bring it on! (And you should probably decide for yourself about Dallas and Wayne.)

One of my favorite paranormal documentaries. submitted by duncanreitz on March 4, 2022, 1:40pm I prefer this movie over a more conventional paranormal documentary like, say, "Ghost Adventures". There are various scenes where Wayne Burton and Dallas Gilbert insist they've caught photographic evidence of Bigfoot. However, the viewer also gets a deep and poignant view into their personal lives, and how both their sorrows and their friendship inspired their niche passion. When I showed this movie to one of my friends, we were practically rooting for Wayne and Dallas to find a real sasquatch. Whether I believed in Bigfoot or not was not the issue, he was as real as the sun to Wayne and Dallas.
I'd say "Not Your Typical Bigfoot Movie" (as well as "Love and Saucers") are my favorite documentaries that cover paranormal themes.
