COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Great for fashionphiles submitted by SarahRose on April 27, 2010, 10:07am If you're interested in fashion or photography, I'd definitely recommend this movie. Though reviewers compared it to The Devil Wears Prada, it's really a different animal. While The Devil Wears Prada was really just out to demonize Anna Wintour and sell a snappy story, The September Issue doesn't attempt to expose Anna as a force of evil or sugarcoat her with false tenderness. It does give the viewer a chance to relate to the New York fashion elite and see into the world of the fashion industry. Grace Goddington, Vogue fashion editor and photographer, became the second star of the documentary and adds a lot of the warmth to the film.

Great Documentary submitted by monkk on June 22, 2014, 8:38pm I love this movie so much I have watched it twice, and I could see watching it again in a couple of years. The documentary format is well done, and Anna Wintour comes off as elegant, private, and therefore very intriguing. Also nice for fans of The Devil Wears Prada, so they can see the true story behind that film.

great documentary submitted by Jackie77 on August 17, 2015, 12:40am Fascinating documentary about fashion. The truth behind the devil wears prada movie.
