Fun with a psychic solving mysteries submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 16, 2013, 10:27pm If you've enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse books, you'll also love Charlaine Harris' other supernatural mystery series, this one about Harper. Harper was struck by lightening many years ago and, as a result, has the psychic ability to find corpses and know how they died. She solves numerous murders as a result with the help of her former step-brother Tolliver.

As this is the last in the series, I recommend reading the first three to understand what's happening, especially the relationship between the characters.
The novel takes some very unexpected (and at times unbelievable) plot twists, but [SPOILER ALERT] it has a much-wanted happy ending.

This book does not contain vampire, werewolves, fairies or any other supernatural creatures besides the psychic herself. If you are looking for more of the Sookie Stackhouse books but with different characters, this one will disappoint you. If you are able to keep an open mind, though, you'll likely enjoy this one.
