Emboldened by the return of Lord Voldemort, the Death Eaters are wreaking havoc in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds. Hogwarts, once thought to be a safe haven, may no longer be safe. Harry suspects that new dangers may lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Harry will have to help him uncover a vital key to unlocking Voldemort's defenses, a critical piece of information known only to Horace Slughorn, Hogwarts' former Potions Professor. Dumbledore manipulates his old colleague into returning to his previous post with promises of more money, a bigger office and the chance to teach the famous Harry Potter.

this is the 6th book/movie in the harry potter series. since the best movie was supposed to coe out next, the greatness of this film was overshadowed by the looming anticipation for the 7th movie. however, it is a great film with some moving parts that will bring you close to tears as dear characters die off. although i will admit the next two movies were better

While being one of my least favorites in the series, Rowling once again demonstrates her ability to create a captivating plot and combine it with fascinating details and characters. Several interesting twists and turns throughout Harry's adventures kept me reading all night.

I loved the movie as well as the book. I would really recommend this to anybody, but before seeing it, you should read the book first. That's because it's a lot easier to understand the movie if you read the book ahead of time and then seeing the movie.
Good, but scary
This movie is based on the 6th book of the series Harry Potter. This was my least favorite of the books because it seemed that Voldemort would win for sure, because the only person he was afraid of, Dumbledore, had just died by one of his teachers. This was a very dark story, but the last book provides a good resolution.

This movie was ok, though not as good as others in the series, nor as awesome. I rate it three and a half stars.
