Creepy submitted by cinderellariley on July 15, 2011, 9:45am Sort of creepy

Nostalgic submitted by simpso54 on December 13, 2011, 10:28am I watched this movie every year as a kid, and I loved it because it was Disney and because it was Mickey and Scrooge McDuck, but I have to say I loved it even more because it was a bit dark and scary as well. The best tales are, and I always appreciated that as a kid. Dickens' classic is a dark tale, no matter how bright and shiny it is re-made. I absolutely loved this movie as a kid. The new 3-D Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey is very true to Dickens' original, and although being animated it is really dark and intense, definitely not recommended for those under 13. But seriously, kids need to not have everything glossed over and fuzzy. Like most of us, they enjoy things a little bit dark as well. Any collection of Grimm's fairytales, which was read to all of us growing up, would be completely inappropriate and too grisly and dark by today's standards.

Mickey's Christmas Carol submitted by juliaheinig on December 15, 2011, 9:23pm This is my all time favorite Christmas movie. It is a bit dark, but really what Disney movie isn't? Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi..... All of them have parts that have kids closing their eyes, but that is reality. All of my children love this movie, from 10yrs old to 4yrs. It always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling after I watch it and reminds me of the real magic of Christmas!

Good introduction to young kids submitted by beeniepie on August 26, 2014, 12:42pm This is a milder version of the classic tale for younger kids.

Mickey's Christmas Carol submitted by SBNB on June 20, 2015, 8:03pm I used to watch this every year on TV, and I love it! It's not quite the same without the Chip and Dale cartoon and the cartoon with Daffy Duck battling with his three nephews to break it up (although the Chip and Dale one is included on this DVD), but it's a classic. The Small One is a cute one about an old donkey during the first Christmas.
