Sometime in the twenty-third century, humanity went extinct leaving only androids behind. Freya Nakamichi 47 is a femmebot, one of the last of her kind still functioning. With no humans left to pay for the pleasures she provides, she agrees to transport a mysterious package from Mercury to Mars. Unfortunately for Freya, she has just made herself a moving target for some very powerful, very determined humanoids who will stop at nothing to possess the contents of the package.

Saturn, then Neptune
submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 15, 2019, 1:48pm
"Saturn's Children" is the first of a space opera series set in a post-human universe where androids and robots run everything but function in many ways just like humans. These beings have emotions, drives, dream and desires, just like humans, but mostly do not have the cumbersome problems associated with human bodies.
The book was nominated for three book awards, including the Hugo Award. "Neptune's Brood" is the sequel to "Saturn."
Warning: there are some violent parts of the novel that are, rightfully, very disturbing.
