After a powerful wizard casts a spell separating two young lovers from each other by trapping them in a painting and a book, Moonflower and her fairy friends embark on a mission to free them.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

SAfe submitted by wampishing on June 25, 2013, 9:19am Moonflower, a human girl blessed with a fairy spirit, is trusted by the fairy counsel with an important mission: use the Wishing Star to find the Goddess of Love and convince her to use her magic pearl to reunite trapped lovers Rose and Henry. Even if they can manage to sway the Goddess, the pearl can't do everything for them, so the young fairies must race against time to free Rose from her magic painting and Henry from his magic book. Despite seemingly high stakes, the risk of failure never looms over the narrative. The quick pace of the story has less to do with deft writing and more to do with a lack of real challenges in the fairies' quest. If young readers want a quick read starring familiar fairy faces, this book is a very safe adventure to satisfy that need.
