Very Catchy, Great Energy submitted by cmoncada on June 23, 2014, 10:50am The album has great energy overall. Most of the songs are very catchy, too. I find myself moving at a faster pace whenever I listen to this album (might need to add it to a workout mix). "Lisztomania" and "1901" were the biggest singles, but it's possible I might prefer "Lasso" and "Armistice".

Upbeat Yet Chill submitted by Meginator on July 1, 2019, 10:53pm Phoenix fires on all cylinders here, crafting catchy indie pop rock songs to match the lead singer's unique vocal style. They seem to pay a lot of attention to the way the vocals interact with the instruments, to excellent and occasionally mesmerizing effect. I loved the two-part bit in the middle as well, which provides a nice natural resting point, and the whole album has an upbeat, yet chill, vibe that I find really appealing.
