Fun read submitted by pamhockey25 on August 5, 2012, 2:51pm Brett is a tattoo artist in Las Vegas living with her police detective brother. This is the first in a series of mysteries so quite a few characters are introduced. Brett, her brother Tim, Brett's staff members, Bitsy, Joel, and Ace. The name of Brett's shop is the Painted Lady, she gets caught up in the mystery when a woman comes in to get a tattoo and ends up missing a few days later. Brett is apparently the last person to see her alive. A rival tattoo artist is suspected in the murder and somehow despite Brett's antipathy toward him, she finds herself believing he is innocent. There are interesting twists and turns, including a lot of Elvises! I enjoyed how the author incorporated the tattooing theme into the book. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of Brett's adventures.
