Mastodon's best album submitted by chowcy on June 26, 2015, 11:58am This is Mastodon's "air" album and it is excellent prog metal. Most of the songs are pretty long, but if you have the attention span to listen to the whole album in one sitting, this is an extremely rewarding album. It is layered with emotions and the drumming and overall songwriting are very original. Brann Dailor has said that the phrase "Crack the Skye" pays homage to his late sister, Skye
