The night of the skulls (Jim pretends to kill Arte, posing as a wanted man, Jim infiltrates a murderous clan, where he uncovers a plot to assassinate President Grant) -- The night of the internal machine (Jim and Arte discover that a criminal plot to eliminate federal judges was actually devised by one of the judges himself to insure his appointment to the Supreme Court) -- The night of the lord of limbo (When a magician makes Arte disappear, Jim must travel to another dimension to find him.
