Good lesson to be learned submitted by judychiapang on July 17, 2012, 5:27am Good fable for the beginning reader

Aesop's fable retold submitted by rimpopu on August 12, 2012, 11:12pm It is a modern version of Aesop's fable. Tom watches the sheep for his father. One day decides to have some fun. He cries "a wolf is trying to eat our sheep" and three hikers come running to help but he laughs and tells he fooled them. He does the same to three fishermen. When a wolf really comes to eat the sheep, everyone thinks he is trying to trick them and no one comes to help. His parents tell him if he wants others to believe in him he must always tell the truth. This book presents a gentle way to tell little ones who are beginning to experiment with truth and lies why it is important to tell the truth. The best part is Tom's parents are not mad at him instead plan to look for sheep with him.
