"A Southern vampire novel"--Cover.
Living Dead in Dallas is the sequel to Dead Until Dark in the new Southern Vampire series from acclaimed mystery author Charlaine Harris. When a vampire asks Sookie Stackhouse to use her telepathic skills to find another missing vampire, she agrees under one condition: the bloodsuckers must promise to let the humans go unharmed. Easier said than done.

Further adventures of Sookie Stackhouse submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 17, 2012, 2:02pm As the title suggestions, this is one of the few Sookie Stackhouse mysteries not set in the main character's home town of Bon Temps, Louisiana.
The second of Charlaine Harris' 13 Southern Vampire Mysteries, "Living Dead in Dallas" continues the adventures of psychic waitress Sookie Stackhouse and her vampire boyfriend Bill.
In this one, Sookie investigates the anti-vampire Fellowship of the Sun Church (an obvious parallel to homophobic churches in our world) and nearly gets killed as a result. Those watching the "True Blood" TV series based on these novels will know what happens in this novel.
Read the first Sookie book or you'll never understand the numerous, complex plot lines in this novel. Don't expect a nice, neat, complete ending, either. Even her 12th and latest novel in the series does not give us that.

A Good Follow-up submitted by majean on August 16, 2018, 4:19pm This book gets you further into the vampire society. I found it interesting how they have an entire other civilization alongside ours.
