good submitted by karenkay on July 23, 2011, 9:22pm This series of books is an easy way to get history across to kids. Easy, interesting and fun to read. I enjoyed reading them as well. They don't shy away from telling the truth about some awful things that happened in the past.
It could technically be worse... submitted by Lady Macbeth on August 2, 2019, 6:26pm This book is a little hyperfixated on how cotton becomes fabric. It gives kids a relatively good understanding of the working conditions of 19th century factories and an unnecessarily great understanding of how cotton is processed. That's not a bad thing per se but not really what you expect when you get your kids a book on victorian factories. At least it doesn't sugarcoat history like some kids books about the Victorian Era
