Great murder, mystery book submitted by ejmarcash on August 22, 2012, 10:17pm I love a good mystery book and having worked in the NYC OCME, this book was right up my alley. I read the book trying to guess who some of the characters were based on. The story centers around a former medical examiner that resigned as a result of PTSD from 9/11. He becomes involved with an investigation into a murdered coed that he soon discovers is the work of a serial killer. Not surprisingly, in the final chapter, it's up to him, without backup from the NYPD, to stop the killer before he kills his next victim. Dr. Hayes is a good writer but towards the end, I was starting to skip the details in order to find out what happens to the victim. Overall, the book was a very easy and enjoyable read.
