True story of Clarence Gideon's fight to be appointed counsel at the expense of the state. This landmark case, Gideon v. Wainright (1963), led to the Supreme Court's decision which extended this right to all criminal defendants.

oldie but a goodie submitted by hathaway1066 on December 18, 2018, 4:10pm Kind of an after-school special level of a film, but it gets the job done. Fun to see a brief appearance by Fay Wray, though that's just a trivia-level aspect of the movie. Good job as far as the acting, etc. I use this in my Govt. class and students are relatively engaged.
