The most beautiful wheat fields and tragedy submitted by ccrose on August 27, 2019, 10:47am A rare film directed by Terrance Malick, set in 1918, a man flees from steelmills when he kills his boss in self defense. He takes his sister and his girlfriend and they find work on the lush plains, harvesting wheat. Film won best cinematography because of these expanses of golden wheat, sun and people swinging scythes. There are complications.
Most interesting narrator is barely teen sister who sees it all unfold. A compelling scene is the wheatfield afire said to have been a heck of a risk for actors and crew.

A really IDIOTIC premise. I bet old ladies will be delighted to see this POS.. submitted by Tassos on December 8, 2022, 9:31am old 1978 crappy photography movie, I cannot even mute its silly musical score because there are no kind of subtitles available. Lame, lame and lame.

really lame acting by Gere but who cares, the old ladies who will enjoy this POS will do so because they think he was cute.

PS the first review here is not even a review. The genius who 'wrote' it just cut and pasted some lame sentences from a DESCRIPTION, which is NOT A REVIEW, (stupid!)

most annoying is a stupid kid acting as a narrator, but speaks NOTHING like kids of his age speak like, which makes it FAKE AND PHONY. But again, the old ladies will be thrilled. Fake and Phony is their daily bread.

and then you have the GOD AWFUL Musical score, the GOD DAMNED VIOLINS, not to mention the isolated, loud piano keys hitting my ears, LOUD and ANNOYING, I REALLY WISH THIS POS HAD SUBTITLES, then I would KILL the AWFUL SOUND, play the boring flick at double speed and watch the subtitles until my torture is over.
