She's Still Got It submitted by rebouleto on September 18, 2010, 4:51pm If you love Chaka, you'll love this album, too. She's not lost a single iota of her funky fabulousness over the years. Her voice has developed a slightly raspy edge, over which she enjoys complete control. Her phrasing is as effortless and expressive as always, and as Mo'nique recently said, she hits "notes we didn't even know about."

My one regret on this album is her remake of "Sign 'o' the Times." Prince's hit was pretty perfect as-is, and she didn't really add much.

But I dare you to sit still to "Back in the Day," "Disrespectful," and "Hail to the Wrong."
