COMMUNITY REVIEWS
High Recommendation submitted by Penny I. Griffith on April 20, 2008, 2:41pm My husband and I listened to this excellent story and fascinating military history on a roundtrip drive to Washington D.C. We were both totally engrossed the entire way. The book is a seamless abridgement that is well written and well paced. It provides an especially interesting profile of Douglas McArthur and the later years of the Truman administration. Plus, we've enjoyed listening to several histories in the past read by Edward Herrmann. In summary, this is a good book for listening, especially during long stretches in the car when you can "stay with" the story.
