Borrow the 2001 release submitted by Morty on October 16, 2015, 12:28am The 2001 release of this classic 1977 EC album (cataloged by AADL as "CD Rock Costello My 2001") has 2 discs, one with the original album's 13 songs and a second with 13 bonus tracks, plus a booklet with commentary by EC.

An Album of Catchy Melodies submitted by Meginator on June 18, 2023, 12:28pm This album feels like a 50s revival filtered through a few rock genres that emerged between that era and the time recording (the late 70s), which gives it an interesting balance and room to play around a bit with each track’s individual sound without detracting from the overall album experience. The overall sound is a blend of classic rock and roll and power pop, driven by the guitar and the vocals with adequate performances from the backing band. Costello has a gift for crafting catchy melodies, and they drive the songs forward and remain memorable even after their initial runtime. I didn’t think this was anything particularly spectacular, and I’m not sure it quite deserves its reputation, but it’s a solid and consistent collection of generally enjoyable songs.
