So far, great movie. Authentic. Topol's performance fantastic submitted by Tassos on November 17, 2022, 2:00pm Watching it now. Very entertaining, but also surprising to see how primitive conditions were in Israel back then, The movie was made in 64, and, as it can be proven by the cars in the movie, it also happens in the late 50s-early 60s. I would think such primitive living conditions would only happen in the late 40s-early 50s

Anyway, this is the most popular movie ever in Israel, and I can see why. Amazing performance by Topol and many others in the cast.
