Fades After the First Few Tracks submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 6:24pm This album starts out with a strong run of songs, but after the first few tracks everything tended to blend together to my ears. The lyrics can be surprisingly empowering at times, but I found that some of the religious overtones undercut this vibe somewhat. Bride’s musical style is a blend of country and pop, with some hints of slide guitar here and there but most of the twang coming from her vocal delivery. This album is fine for its ballads and McBride’s undeniable vocal talent, but it lacks a standout track to distinguish it from the pack.
