COMMUNITY REVIEWS

An American Tragedy submitted by breaking_glass on September 13, 2010, 1:51pm Probably the best and most comprehensive documentary available on the subject, containing massive amounts of interviews from New Orleans natives to government officials. Everyone involved in any way with Hurricane Katrina has a story to tell, and most of them will break your heart. It's overwhelming. The film makes it blatantly clear to the viewer just how poorly government responded to the disaster. So not only will you be heartbroken, but you'll be just plain angry as well. Important film.

Watch this submitted by saleder on August 11, 2021, 11:30am Everyone should watch this Spike Lee documentary about Hurricane Katrina. We know a lot of the story, but this film takes us on the ground as it was happening, and the aftermath. It is in some ways a precursor to the series Treme (also a must-watch program) with at least one of the interviewees making the jump from the documentary to the fictionalized show.
